How Google Made Us Cry

Google often changes its logo on holidays. On the anniversary of Edvard Munch’s last birthday (December 12), the giant search engine scrawled its name into the background of the artist’s The Scream. And on St. Patrick’s Day its logo was covered in shamrocks. Yesterday the company put up its Earth Day logo: a melting iceberg. Sure, it isn’t as cute as two cats with sparklers celebrating Independence Day, or an exhausted turkey sitting beside a stack of dishes, but it sends a message. Loud and clear.

I noticed that too last night. Thinking about it again, google is probably used by every computer user in the world at least once a day. It's wonderful that they decided to do this - it may only be for a day, but many millions of people will think about it.
