Bright Lights, Your City

If you’d like to know the next time the aurora borealis (commonly called the Northern Lights) will be illuminating the sky in your region, check out the Aurora Forecast website, made available by the folks at the Geophysical Institute at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. October is a prime time for Northern Lights-viewing, as the geomagnetic storms that trigger the dazzling displays tend to occur more often in the fall and spring.
