Carbon footprint you made by driving your car or taking a vacation, there’s never been a better time. The number of suppliers in the carbon-offset industry has grown by 200 percent since 2002, according to a 2007
report from the consulting company New Carbon Finance. Voluntary offsets bought from companies, the Chicago Climate Exchange (CCX), and conservation organizations could make 2007 the most lucrative year yet. CCX alone saw more than twenty million tons traded in the first half of 2007.
