Wood is Good

4719

On Gilligan's Island, the Professor was always making radios and record players out of bamboo and coconuts, when he should have been building a boat. True, it was a only television show, but Dell computers seems have been similarly inspired in a sea of disposable technology, by building a new eco-friendly bamboo cased computer. Projected to come out later in the year, the new computer will be 81 percent smaller than an average desktop, and be made from recycled bottles, milk jugs, and detergent cases. Also, it will use 70 percent less power. At a price between $500 and $700, this computer looks set to sail.
