The Need for Speed

4390

Treehuggers in training will love this new clean tech toy car—model name H2GO—from Corgi International. Oops, did we say toy car?  It may be marketed to tots, but it’s so much more than a toy. The remote-controlled, wheat-plastic-based car is actually powered by sun and water through real fuel cell technology, courtesy of Horizon Fuel Cell Technologies, the first fuel cell company to put the technology into practice outside the laboratory. No joke. It even comes with a solar panel and refueling station. Wondering if the clean-tech-touting product will really catch on? Corgi International is the same toy and collectibles company that handles some minor franchises like Disney Classics, Harry Potter, James Bond, and Star Trek. Enough said. Available Fall 2008. Contact Andrea at acuff@webershandwick.com or 425-452-5444 for details.
