Green Wave

So you need a new wetsuit, but you dig nature and want to, like, preserve it. It’s a conundrum every eco-savvy surfer faces at some point in his career. Enter: Body Glove Eco. Made of non-toxic Eco-Flex and Bio-Stretch (materials derived from limestone and natural rubber, respectively), the new men’s suit is less energy-intensive to produce than its conventional neoprene counterpart. Among its other green features are graphics printed in water-based inks and a zipper made from recycled plastic. Among its not-particularly-green-but-still-really-cool-looking features are “super flex kneepads,” “Vaporlock seams,” and an “interior floodgate” system to keep water seepage to a minimum. The suit goes for $324.95—buy it online or search Body Glove’s Web site for retail stores.
