Mission Accomplished

Active apparel company Mission Playground has always been progressive about promoting awareness: they support sustainable initiatives, donate 1% of their sales to like-minded non-profits, and produce some of the coolest socially and environmentally conscious designs we’ve ever seen on a tee-shirt or hoody. Now, they’ve partnered with San Diego-based company Homeblown to make “environmentally-friendlier” surfboards using Biofoam, Homeblown’s proprietary product made from renewable biomaterials like natural plant oils, which are better for you and your earthly playground than petrochemicals. The boards will come in a variety of models and will feature the same kind of eco-minded, thought-provoking art MP’s become famous for. Check out all the styles—along with MP’s new line of recycled polyester board shorts—after February 1.
