Cell Phone Recycling 4-1-1

« Plates with a Past

1163

You recycle paper, plastic, and glass--why not recycle your out-of-date cell phones, too?  Sprint and the non-profit Keep America Beautiful have teamed up to launch Wipe Out Wireless Waste, a nationwide cell phone recycling program. Users can send in cell phones from any cell phone provider at no cost by printing mailing labels from the Keep America Beautiful website. Recycled phones can be used to make pipes, auto parts, jewelry, and more. As an added bonus, proceeds from recycled phones will go to clean-up and green projects throughout the nation.
