Nau Hear This

Green fashionistas take heed: The future of fashion has arrived with the new clothing company, Nau (pronounced “now”).  Instead of solely relying on hemp and organic cotton, eco-fashion’s trademark materials, Nau features clothing made from a variety of environmentally-friendly fabrics and dyes, including one textile derived from corn. The company goes a step further than using sustainable materials: Nau provides online shopping and offers in-store customers a 10 percent discount if they have clothes shipped from a warehouse to their homes, cutting back on fossil-fuel guzzling transportation. Nau also donates five percent of every sale to one of 12 non-profits (customers can pick which one).  Nau’s debut line is available online in late January and in boutiques located in Boulder, Chicago, Seattle, and Portland, Oregon.
