Mexico's blind eye

Mexico lacks the commitment to protect endangered species, according to a recent article from Reuters. With the country's parrots especially endangered, this concerns groups like Defenders of Wildlife, which is petitioning for a permanent ban on the sale of Mexican parrots. But reform or success seem unlikely, and the rampant trade in Mexico's endangered species is likely to continue with little to no enforcement from the Mexican government.
