Tricking viruses into extinction
Can extinction be a good thing? If we're talking about viruses, the answer could be yes.
A new report published in Ecology Letters details a test by a Yale professor who "tricked" viruses into "the wrong cells within the human body, thus preventing virus reproduction and alleviating disease."
Now, viruses and disease play a vital role in the ecosystem, but if something like this could get rid of HIV, ebola, and bird flu, how bad could it be?
