Scimitar-horned Oryx extinct in the wild, but not in Jacksonville
The Jacksonville (Texas) Daily Progress reports on the birth of two endangered Scimitar-horned Oryx calves. The species is extinct in the wild, but the population of animals in parks and zoos has increased more than six-fold since the year 2000.
