Tree species in Kashmir "on verge of extinction"

A tree species in Kashmir called the Chinar is "on the verge of extinction," according to a report in the Greater Kashmir. The tree's population has been cut in half in the last 25 years, and the remaining trees "are drying up fast" following the expansion of local roads.
