New Zealand: 7 species extinct, 416 more "threatened"

In New Zealand this week, more than 400 species were added to the country's list of species threatened with extinction, while seven more were declared extinct.

Among those declared extinct by the Department of Conservation, the South Island kokako, which has not been seen in 40 years.
