China bans use of tiger parts

Amazing but true: China, which had already banned the use of tiger parts in traditional medicine, has now made the display or wearing of tiger parts a ciminal offence. The move is bolstered by the Dalai Lama, who has called upon to people of Tibet to cease support for the killing tigers. Tibet, according to a report published in The Hindu newspaper, is the world's largest market for tiger skins.
